Role Overview
eNGINE is seeking two Network Engineers to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure. These roles will focus on Cisco routing and switching technologies alongside Palo Alto firewalls, helping maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing network environments.
The ideal candidates will bring hands-on networking expertise, a strong understanding of network security, and the ability to diagnose complex connectivity issues. These engineers will work collaboratively with technical teams to support existing infrastructure, implement network improvements, and contribute to the ongoing reliability and security of the environment.
Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
Administer and support Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, access rules, and network traffic controls.
Investigate and resolve network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues.
Support network changes, infrastructure upgrades, and equipment deployments while minimizing operational disruption.
Monitor network health and performance, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
Implement and maintain network security controls in alignment with organizational standards and requirements.
Assist with network design discussions and recommend solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with infrastructure, systems, and security teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues.
Maintain accurate network documentation, configurations, diagrams, and change records.
Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and ongoing efforts to improve network availability.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
Understanding of network security principles, firewall rules, and access control.
Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and work toward effective, lasting solutions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams.
Ability to work within a hybrid schedule based in Sharon, PA.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Cisco IOS or IOS XE environments.
Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or EIGRP.
Experience with Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management.
Knowledge of VPN technologies, network segmentation, and secure remote connectivity.
Familiarity with network monitoring, configuration management, and infrastructure documentation tools.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, or Palo Alto Networks certifications.
