Network EngineerJob Role: Network Engineer with strong exp in Network operation center (NOC)Duration: 6 months contractLocation: work location is Getzville NY (Need Local candidates)Job Description:As a Network Operations Engineer, you will:Provide 1st/2nd line technical support & incident management, monitoring for circuits and hardware. Report and track carrier issues, hardware RMA's etc.Manage operational network maintenance activities and implement changesProvide monitoring & fault management and remediation of alerts. Tuning & optimization of monitoring systemsAssist with root cause analysis of incidentsAssist with periodic network reviews and analysisHelp with establishment of operational procedures & support documentationReview, track and update network operations policies, standards and documentationAssist with development of the network management platform adoption, configuration and tuningComplete Daily network checks and operational handover dutiesParticipate in shift rotation coverageWhat You'll Need:5 years' experience in IT infrastructure operations/support roleKnowledge of network routing and switching technologies and routing protocolsExperience with various Cisco equipment (routers, switches)Experience with Checkpoint, Cisco firewalls, load balancers and WAN accelerators is desirableExperience in scripting and programming skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform) is desirableFormal technical certification such as CCNA/CCNP
