Overview
Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to an autonomous ride-hailing company in Foster City, CA.
We are unable to work with third-party companies for this role.
Title: Network Security Engineer - Contract
Duration: 1 year (likely extension)
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, and network access control
Manage AWS network security configurations (VPCs, security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway, AWS Network Firewall)
Support secure remote access solutions, including VPNs
Implement and maintain network access control (e.g., 802.1X)
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize security systems for performance and reliability
Contribute to evolving network security architecture, standards, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure infrastructure and deployments
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in network security engineering within production environments
6+ years of IT systems or application engineering/administration experience
Hands-on experience with AWS network security services and architectures
Experience with next-generation firewalls/UTM devices, VPNs, and network access control (802.1X)
Strong understanding of the OSI model and Layer 7 security concepts
Knowledge of PKI, cryptography, and certificate management
