Role Overview
This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized Neuro Medicine and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, offering opportunities to develop critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and time management skills. The unit cares for diverse neuro-surgical and medical patients, including seizure monitoring and multi-system diagnoses, fostering a strong foundation for nursing careers.
Responsibilities
Promoting patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
Participating in activities that ensure patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers to involvement.
Maintaining awareness of safety-sensitive responsibilities to work safely and alertly.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree; RN license required.
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 2+ years of experience.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
Certification in NIHSS exam eligible.
