Swedish Neuro-Ophthalmology | Swedish Neuroscience Institute

Neuro-Ophthalmologist (MD) - 0.6 FTE

Swedish Medical Group is seeking a part-time Neuro Ophthalmologist at the Cherry Hill campus in Seattle, Washington.

Practice Overview:

Established neuro-ophthalmology practice within the Swedish Neuroscience Institute (10+ years).

Current team includes 2 Neuro-Ophthalmologist physicians (1.4 FTE total).

Strong multidisciplinary collaboration with neurology and neurosurgery

Robust clinical support including patient care coordinators, ophthalmic technicians, and a dedicated clinic RN

Schedule & Volume:

0.6 FTE (21.6 patient-facing hours) with a predictable, fixed schedule

Clinical days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Clinic hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Daily volumes range from 8 to 16 patients, capped at 16 per day

New patient visits are 60 minutes; follow-up visits are 30 minutes

Procedures & Resources:

In-clinic Botox procedures with a dedicated half-day block

Advanced diagnostic tools including OCT, Humphrey and Goldman visual fields, and B-scan ultrasound

Adult-only patient population with a high consultative referral volume

Qualifications & Requirements:

BE/BC American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology

Call:

Call coverage about 1 week per month

Coverage includes multiple Swedish locations

Call burden is minimal, often with few or no overnight calls

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
