Certifications: ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (expires), BLS
Must-Have: Charge experience preferred, Cerner preferred
Description: Replacing a current RN. Candidate must have prior travel experience. Charge responsibility may be required, and the RN will receive the appropriate pay differential and training. Work assignments are in a mixed patient population including med-surg, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. The RN will be expected to work nights. The unit generally tries to follow a schedule of working 2 out of 3 weekends per month but cannot always guarantee this based on unit needs. All team members, including travelers, are expected to contribute to a culture of support, particularly when interacting with students and new hires. Any requested time off must be included in the submission packet. The client has the right to cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior based on census. All applicants should explain any gaps in work history over 90 days. Skills checklist and a copy of the nursing license are required. The RN will be working as part of a teaching hospital environment. This is an opportunity to provide patient care during a critical staffing period. Candidate must work at least one major holiday during the assignment. No time off will be approved during the week of Thanksgiving. Weekend-only requests will be considered, but block scheduling can no longer be accommodated. The RN will encounter students and new hires frequently.
