Schedule Details : Float position within the Greater Charlotte Market. Sign on bonus eligible.
Pay Range : $26.55 - $39.85
Essential Functions
Performs routine and complex electroencephalogram (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCV), evoked potential (EP) and other neurodiagnostic procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of equipment operator's manual and calibration procedures and identifies and corrects basic equipment issues.
Performs neurodiagnostic procedures with appropriate test strategy, electrode montage parameters, and calibration.
Obtains all relevant information from the patient’s medical record history and progress notes, and transfers this to the technologist’s report.
Adopts methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on medical history, clinical observations, and diagnostic test findings.
Adheres to the standards of practice for test recordings as outlined by ABRET.
Maintains complete and accurate record keeping, including history forms and archived records of clipped data.
Assists with the technical operation of specialized neurodiagnostic procedures including long‑term monitoring, evoked potentials, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and others as appropriate.
Verbalizes and implements appropriate actions during the onset of seizures and other patient medical emergencies.
Demonstrates proper infection control practices throughout all aspects of care.
Ensures hazardous materials are properly used and stored.
Provides preceptor supervision to new technologists and student interns.
Participates in ordering and maintaining supplies for the department.
