Overview
St. Mary's Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join our expanding neurology program in Amsterdam, NY. Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat a variety of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and migraines.
Perform and interpret EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies.
Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to deliver integrated neurological care.
Provide both outpatient and inpatient consultations as needed.
Educate patients and families on neurological disorders, treatment plans, and preventative care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
Qualifications:
Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York
Preferred Experience - Fellowship training or interest in stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache medicine, or neuromuscular diseases is preferred but not required.
Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills
Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary Range - $375K - $400K (commensurate with experience).

This role requires advanced clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to diagnose and manage a diverse range of neurological conditions, from routine outpatient cases to complex inpatient consultations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered neurological care.

Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
