Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery
Job Details:
Shifts available in 10-hour (7:00 AM 5:00 PM) or 12-hour (7:00 AM 7:00 PM) formats
Call requirements include one weeknight call and one weekend day per call week; call is onsite and hourly rates apply
Typically one to two MDs in clinic per day with one NP present Monday through Friday; additional APP present one to two times per week
Patients scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rounds required prior to clinic
Support staff includes 6 MDs, 1 RN, and 4 MAs
Adult patient population
EMR system: Epic
Procedures include inpatient/acute care, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, surgical care, suturing, EVD placement, lumbar drain, lumbar puncture, ICP monitor placement, and primary surgical care of complex wounds
Board Certification in Neurosurgery required
Active South Carolina license required
Must have been practicing medicine for at least 2 years out of training
Clean malpractice history required
All travel expenses are billable including airfare, hotel, rental car, and mileage
