Job description
Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist with surgical or general epilepsy training to join their team in Madera, CA as medical director.
The Medical Director will partner closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and advanced practice providers to drive program development, quality improvement initiatives, and operational excellence across neurology, neurosurgery, neurodiagnostic, and related pediatric subspecialties.
Lead and expand a growing Pediatric Neurosciences Program serving a large and diverse regional population
Our Neuroscience program includes comprehensive epilepsy clinic, RNS clinic, neurocutaneous, neuro-oncology, neuromuscular, septicity clinic, and neurogenetics.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, neuroradiologists, neurogenetics, and rehabilitation specialists
Guide clinical strategy, program development, and service line growth
Advance clinical research, innovation, and academic partnerships
Influence quality, patient safety, and outcomes across neurosciences services
Opportunity to work within the region s only NAEC Level 4 Epilepsy Center
Access to advanced pediatric neurodiagnostic testing and epilepsy monitoring resources
11 neurology physicians and at least 3 neurology-focused advanced practice providers within the Neuroscience team.
Hospital provides comprehensive care to more than 1.3 million children throughout the region and includes a 358-bed stand-alone children s hospital, specialty care centers, and primary care practices. The Neurology team provides diagnostic services, medical treatment, and follow-up care for infants, children, and adolescents with suspected or confirmed neurological disorders, including seizures, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, headaches, neurogenetic conditions, and other complex neurologic conditions.
The Neuroscience program includes a multidisciplinary team of pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, neuroradiology, neurogenetics, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, social work, and advanced practice providers.
