Job description
Join WCS Healthcare Partners in a dynamic and academically stimulating role as a Neurologist at an Academic Medical Center in the Greater NYC area. This position offers a blend of consultative and outpatient practices, providing a unique opportunity to work in a mission-oriented environment focused on serving underserved patients. With flexible scheduling and a strong academic environment, this role is ideal for those passionate about clinical teaching and development in various neurologic subspecialties.
Responsibilities Collaborate with the department director, a full-time physician, and a part-time neurologist.
Engage in a combination of consultative and outpatient work.
Conduct 1-2 half-day clinic sessions per week, with the remainder of time spent as a neurohospitalist on the med surg floor.
Perform 5-7 consults per day when on service.
Work a flexible Mon-Fri schedule with no evenings or weekends required.
Participate in a rotating telephone call schedule, with minimal likelihood of being called.
Collaborate with a neuroradiologist and other credentialed physicians for specific procedures.
Contribute to a strong academic environment with medical students, externs, and internal medicine residents.
Develop programs within movement disorders, epilepsy, and other neurologic subspecialties.
Requirements Active NY License.
Residency Training in Neurology.
Fellowship Training preferred, with willingness to perform generalist work.
Board Eligibility or Board Certification Required.
New residents graduating in the next 12 months are encouraged to apply.
