Outpatient Neurologist

Gettysburg, PA

Full-time: 35 Direct Patient Care Hours

About the Opportunity:

Our Gettysburg neurology clinic is expanding due to an increase in patient referrals

Join another full-time Neurologist and several part-time colleagues in this well-established practice

Located in a shared suite with pediatric neurology, interventional pain and physiatry

Call is shared with other regional practices, 1:8 and strictly outpatient call

Option to work 4 ten-hour days, Fridays are required

EMG lab, imaging, infusion and labs on site

First in Class Benefits:

6 weeks (240 hours) of Scheduled Time Off (STO), plus 6 standard holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Establishes, maintains and administers policies and procedures, objectives, quality management programs, safety,environmental and infection control standards.

Identifies patient and/or provider needs and develops quality programs to meet those needs. Ensures delivery of quality services for patients.

Develops and administers department continuing education programs. Participates in the education of house staff and Medical Staff continuing education activities.

Provides clinical supervision to physician and non-physician staff within the department.

Common Expectations: Participates on appropriate committees and attends and/or conducts meetings as required.

Consults with resident staff and/or Hospital staff physicians as needed.

Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested.

Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.

Provides direct patient care services and otherwise performs the duties of a Rehabilitation Medicine Staff Physician.

Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.

Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Required for All Jobs: Performs other related duties as identified.

Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training: Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Medicine. Upon Hire Required and

Completion of a Neurology residency. Upon Hire Required and

Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Teaching skills.
