McLaren Northern Michigan is seeking a Locum Neurology Physician for coverage beginning November 2026 .
Position Details Specialty: Neurology
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
Shift Type: 24-hour coverage
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Inpatient Call: 24/7, beginning and ending at 8:00 AM
Weekend Call: 24-hour call, 8:00 AM 8:00 AM
Patient Volume: Approximately 6 8 patients per day
EMR: Cerner
Schedule & Responsibilities Outpatient clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00 PM 3:00 PM
Clinic appointments occur within the 8-hour onsite day
Provide onsite hospital coverage when there are no outpatient appointments or when clinic is not scheduled for the full day
Provide inpatient neurology coverage and rounding
Provide after-hours call coverage
Perform EEG reads for both inpatient and outpatient cases as needed
Required Procedures/Skills Radiologic exam interpretation
Lumbar puncture (spinal tap)
EEG
Brain death examination
Evoked potentials
