Job Description
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship trained Neuropathologist. The position is at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Candidate must hold a medical degree (M.D. or equivalent), be board-eligible or certified in AP/CP or AP pathology and neuropathology. Duties include diagnostic services in neuropathology and participation in autopsy/brain examination. Additional service capability in general surgical pathology is a plus. The faculty member is expected to participate in teaching residents and medical students, and in scholastic research in a neuropathology area, such as neurodegeneration. The candidate must qualify for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Louisiana.
Responsibilities
Duties include diagnostic services in neuropathology, resident and medical teaching, and scholastic activities.
Qualifications
Candidate must hold an M.D. or a D.O.
