Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Provides administration, scoring, and reports results of standardized mental ability tests and questionnaires.
Assists in abstracting relevant medical information from patients' charts and in obtaining medical history from patients and their families.
Records behavioral observations and works to ensure that patients give their best effort during testing.
Prepares and enters testing data into patient registry and maintains records.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
Participates in rotation of work area, weekends, weekday hours and assigned holidays.
Ability to work with a wide variety of patient populations dependent upon program/service assignment.
Required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, a related field, or the equivalency.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.
This position involves intermediate work that may exert up to 50 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects while providing patient care to those with psychiatric conditions.
