Job description
This nursing position involves providing direct patient care in a neurosurgery unit, caring for patients post-cranial and spinal procedures, stroke, and neurological conditions. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, education, safety, and collaboration within a technologically advanced environment supported by dedicated leadership and preceptors. Nurses are expected to develop individualized care plans, assess physical and emotional needs, and communicate effectively across care teams.
Responsibilities include:
Promoting patient and family education on illness management and post-treatment care
Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities
Creating and documenting comprehensive care plans in collaboration with patients and team members
Assessing patient needs, preferences, and barriers to involvement in care
Qualifications:
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience
Skills and Attributes:
Critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to work safely and maintain alertness
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
