About This Role
The New Grad RN Resident position in the Med/Surg & Telemetry Unit at Cleveland Clinic is ideal for recent nursing graduates seeking to build a rewarding career in a supportive and dynamic environment. This role focuses on developing core nursing skills while providing exceptional patient care.

Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
What You’ll Do
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when necessary.
Document in patients’ medical records.
Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
Develop a strong med-surg and telemetry foundation while caring for patients with complex needs.
Strengthen head-to-toe assessment, prioritization, and patient education skills.
Requirements
Education
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience
New grad or less than one year RN work experience required
Less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience if moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical setting
Licenses & Certifications
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required
