* Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post‑ICU), and support recovery.

* Participate in huddles, shared governance activities, and unit‑based quality improvement initiatives.

Certifications

* Required: BLS (American Heart Association).

* Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown‑related certifications.

Your Growth Matters at Mercy!

* Participate in Mercy's defined Career Path Program — ideal for building strong assessment, communication, critical‑thinking, and time‑management skills on your way to becoming an expert in Stepdown or related specialties.

* Opportunities for future advancement into ICU, Telemetry, Behavioral Health, ED, and more, typically within 12-18 months based on performance and interest.

* Engage in lifelong learning through continuing education, mentorship, certification support, and unit‑based committees.

A Ministry Rooted in Compassion
