Hourly Pay: $40- $45
nMaxim Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with students in the school setting, in the health room or within the school district.

n nResponsibilities:
nnnResponsible for providing professional, medical treatment to students
n
nnResponsible for early detection of student physical problems and for completing student health evaluations
n
nnCoordinates vision, hearing, and orthopedic screening and health assessments
n
nnResponsible for providing, or assisting teachers with providing disease prevention, nutrition and general health education
n
nnAssists school personnel with the promotion of health education and immunization programs
n
nnDesigns and implements student Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) • Provides, and/or oversees, student medication administration and medical treatments as required by student’s IHP
n
nnMaintains clinical records
n
nnProvides emergency aid to students and school staff
n
nnConsults with, conducts in-service training for, and serves as a resource person for school staff
n
nnParticipates in the implementation of health instruction/curriculum
n
nnCounsels & assists students and parents in health-related adjustments
n
n nRequirements:
nnnGraduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred
n
nnCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse in specific state required
n
nnTwo years of successful experience as a school nurse preferred
n
nnValid CPR certification required
n
nnSuccessful completion of training, testing, and/or additional requirements as stated by contract required
n
nnExcellent Communication skills
n
nnProficiency in the English language required
n
nnCurrent Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation) required
n
nnMust meet all federal, state, local, and contract requirements
n
nnTechnological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
