Night AuditorReports to: Front Office ManagerThis is a part time opening.Job Summary:The night auditor is responsible for registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities, facilitating daily closing reports, and providing end of day figures to management.Essential Functions:Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.Audit, balance, prepare, verify, and report on room information.Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for the preparation of daily reports.Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily.Run night audit nightly after insuring all revenues are in balance.Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.Job RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate will possess the following qualifications:A basic understanding of accounting principles and practices, a plusMust be able to work overnight/3rd shift 11 pm - 7 am all days of the week, including weekend shiftsPrior hotel front desk experience requiredPrior hotel property management experience, a plusExceptional computer and customer service skillsAbility to multi-task and resolve guest issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPossess self-motivationAbility to work independentlyMust be able to stand for long periodsMust be able to communicate with guestsAbility to work a schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
