Job description
Custodian NightsMaintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. The role requires attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle cleaning equipment and materials safely.The essential functions of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:Clean and maintain designated areas including dusting, moping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.Utilize various cleaning equipment, including vacuums, auto scrubbers, carpet extractor, and floor restoration equipment.Assist night foreman with other tasks as needed which may include minor repairs, setting up school events and activities.Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Night Foreman or Building Chief.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedRequired qualifications (specific training or job experience required before appointment):High School diploma or GED.Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently as well as with a team.Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.Customer service oriented.Demonstrated satisfactory work performance in previous position.Preferred qualifications:Custodial experience.Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures and be able to use cleaning equipment safely and effectivelyEmployee is required to:Never standFrequently walkContinuously sitUse hands dexterously (use fingers to handle, feel)Reach with hands and armsClimb or balanceStoop/kneel/crouch or crawlTalk, see and hearPhysical (lift and carry): Up to 10 poundsUp to 25 poundsUp to 50 poundsUp to 75 poundsMore than 100 poundsDate: 02/14/2025
