Join Us for the School Year!
Old Mill Elementary School is looking for an energetic person to maintain the cleanliness of our school community. This person will perform routine custodial activities at an assigned school site or facility to maintain the buildings, land and keep the grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition.
Position Details
Hours: 4 hours per day
Work Year: 182 days
170 student instructional days
4 holidays
7 planning days
1 extended day
Contracted days will be adjusted based on start date. This position is considered full-time with benefits .
Compensation Step 0: $14.84 per hour Step 10: $16.89 per hour
New employees may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (Upon hire, it is the employee's responsibility to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their previous employer.)
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Must provide a copy to HR once recommended for hire
How Salary Is Calculated Classified positions are hourly, but pay is issued on a year-long contract and divided among remaining paychecks. Four paychecks are issued at the end of June. Formula: Hours per day × hourly rate = daily rate Daily rate × contracted days = annual salary Annual salary ÷ remaining pay periods = biweekly pay
