Night Sweeper PositionJoin us for the school year! NBHS is seeking an energetic, team-oriented candidate to perform routine custodial activities in our Physical Science Building: cleaning bathrooms, cleaning classrooms and offices, sweeping hallway floors, maintaining the cafeteria's cleanliness, and assisting with clean up following events/community activities. The night sweeper may also be responsible for securing the building in the evenings.Position DetailsHours: 8 hours per dayContract Length: 182 days per year170 student instructional days4 holidays7 planning days1 extended dayContract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start dateEmployment Status: Full-time with benefitsEmployment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay scheduleQualifications & RequirementsEducation:High school diploma or GEDDocumentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.Compensation & Experience Credit Pay ScaleStarting Pay (Step 0): $14.84/hourExperienced Pay (Step 10): $16.89/hourWe value experience! New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly payBenefits of Joining BCPSWe are committed to Moving Forward with our staff!
