Job description
Night Sanitation WorkerThe Night Sanitation worker is responsible for cleaning our production lines once the fruit is done being packed for the day. As part of a small team, the Night Sanitation worker, will be trained and responsible for cleaning in designated areas by the Night Sanitation Lead. The worker will use water and chemicals to clean.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Cleans and sanitizes production linesUses chemicals, water, and tools to clean/sanitize appropriate areasPicks up and moves trash to designated areasEnsures personal safety and safety of others at all timesWorks at a fast pace while maintaining safetyCleans/Sanitizes dump tankAdhere to good manufacturing practices, personal and work area hygiene & food safety standards and requirements.Follow all Plant Safety requirements and adhere to the Company Handbook.Other Duties as assigned.Work Environment/Physical Requirements:Temperatures can be moderate to cool in this indoor work environmentMust be able to work inside a packing facilityStand on feet for long periods of time (Up to three hours at a time)Use of upper extremities and both hands to complete tasksMust have good hand dexterityVisual acuity and reading of labelsMust be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basisExperience/Education:Production or packing experience highly preferredHS Diploma/GED preferred
