No. 1 PipefitterThe ASR Group® family of companies make up the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar. ASR Group® companies also produce and market Tellus®, a single-use, compostable tableware and foodservice product made from plant fibers, including sugarcane.The No. 1 Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, connection, maintenance and repair of all metal pipe and pipe equipment within an industrial facility including welds on steel and other related metals using stick/mig methods.Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:Performs complicated industrial installation, connection, maintenance and repair of pipelines and plumbing fixturesPlans major and difficult installations from blueprints, sketches and specificationsDuties include laying out piping and calculating take offs and pipefitting measurementsCompletes welds on steel, stainless steel and other related metals using stick/mig methodsPerforms all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standardsWork Experiences:A minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in pipe fabrication and welding, including pipefitting and layoutsPrevious experience with stick, tig and mig methods requiredEducation Requirements:High School Diploma or GED is preferredEssential Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Attributes):Ability to lay out piping jobs and calculate take offs and pipefitting measurementsAbility to perform welding of steel, iron or alloy including Stick, Tig, Mig methodsAbility to determine material for piping layouts from blue prints and field dimensionsKnowledge of cutting, threading, welding and fitting all types of pipes and fittingsWork independently as well as a team playerMust have ability to lift up to 50lbsThis position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business need. Must be physically able to perform job duties including but not limited to: Lifting up to 50lbs.
