Nocturnal Medicine Physician Job Opening
A hospital medicine team in coastal South Carolina is seeking a Nocturnist to support nighttime inpatient care within a well-established and expanding program. The role includes managing acute and complex medical conditions overnight, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe transitions throughout the inpatient stay. Responsibilities also include working 12-hour night shifts, overseeing admissions, and providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a modern clinical environment. This position offers a competitive compensation package.
Qualifications
Prior nocturnist or hospital medicine experience preferred
Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Current, unrestricted South Carolina medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
Active state and federal controlled substance registrations
Proficiency in hospital-based procedures consistent with nocturnal practice
Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
