nJob Description Summary
nThis position addresses physician leadership for all aspects of the facility. This position is responsible for all services/systems required for an organized, multidisciplinary team approach directed toward the provision of the highest quality patient care. This position addresses the maintenance of established patient care standards and protocols through continuous quality improvement and total quality management activities in the facility.

nEssential Functions
nnnEstablishes and maintains a positive marketing relationship with physicians and companies to insure effective communication, coordination, and funding for the clinic;
n
nnCollaborates with the medical staff of the clinic and hospital to determine outcome indicators for the provision of quality care and monitors those appropriately;
n
nnIdentifies and addresses issues that affect members of the medical staff;
n
nnMaintains positive relations with members of the medical staff.
n
nnAssists in the development of marketing plans and activities;
n
nnAdvises and assists in the development, administration and implementation of annual and long term business plans;
n
nnProvides financial services including, but not limited to, working with the Department’s management team in the supervision of accounting, reporting, and control procedures;
n
nnDevelops and insures the proper implementation of financial planning an control systems at all levels, and uses the information derived from such systems to properly assess, plan and control the financial affairs of the Department;
n
nnParticipates in evaluation of the quality of care being rendered by the Department and cooperates in the hospital’s quality assurance program in monitoring quality and outcome of care administered by staff;
n
nnAssists the Department’s management team in the development, review, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures;
n
nnActively participates on committee or team assignments involving the clinic’s services;
n
nnCommunicates to the medical staff and associated departments issues requiring their attention;
n
nnKeeps the administrative liaison abreast of medical staff issues related to the clinic.

n nQualifications
nMinimum Education Required
nnnMust be a licensed physician in the state where the clinic is located.
n
nnMust have successfully credentialed through the Medical Staff Services of Southeast Health.
n
n nRequired Skills/Abilities
nnnAbility to effectively communicate in English both in writing and orally;
n
nnAbility to effectively communicate in an emergency situation.
n
nnAbility to perform technical skills in accordance with credentialed competencies as determined by Medical Staff policy.
