Job description
"Nocturnist Opportunity: Oswego, NY Benefits Salary range of $380K to $400K
$50K sign-on bonus
Relocation reimbursement up to $10K with receipts
Student loan assistance of $30K over the length of the contract, if applicable
120 hours of PTO and 60 hours of CME time
Health, dental, vision, 403B, life and disability
$5,500 annual CME, dues and licensure reimbursement
Malpractice paid by Oswego Health
Qualifications Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Experienced candidates preferred, since this is the sole night provider
Central lines, intubations, thoracentesis and paracentesis experience preferred
Board certified or board eligible, with intent to sit for boards
Visa sponsorship candidates accepted
Candidates available in 2026 or 2027
Position Details 3-year employment agreement
Inpatient
7 days on, 7 days off, 7:00p to 7:00a, changeover on Tuesday
No call
Typical med-surg community hospital with 24/7 specialty call coverage
Census budgeted at 40 to 48, about 5,000 admissions a year; usually 6 to 8 admissions a night
Med-surg has 44 private and 4 semi-private rooms; ICU has 8 private rooms (usually 6 in use)
Adults 18 and up only
Open ICU with daytime PCCM physicians and a 7p to 7a tele-intensivist
Day shift runs 2 physicians and 2 APPs on each of two rotating teams; nights run 1 physician on each of two rotating teams
Replaces a retiring nocturnist
