Job description
We areseeking a Board-Certified Nocturnist Physician for a locum tenens opportunityin Petoskey, MI. This position provides overnight care for adult inpatientmedical patients in a hospital-based setting, with an average census ofapproximately 16 patients per day. The ideal candidate has strong internalmedicine skills and experience managing adult inpatients outside the ICU/CCU.
Schedule & Practice Details 12-hour overnight shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
Weekend coverage required
Initially, one shift every four weeks, transitioning to every other week beginning in December
Average patient census: Approximately 16 inpatients
Patient population: Adult inpatient
ICU/CCU coverage: Not required
On-call responsibilities: None specified
EHR: Cerner
Responsibilities Provide overnight medical care for adult hospitalized patients.
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed.
Coordinate care with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in Cerner.
Respond to inpatient medical needs during assigned shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements MD or DO degree
Board Certification required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Active DEA registration
