Creating and delivering the world’s finest aviation experience starts with our people and when our people thrive, so does our mission.Why GulfstreamCompetitive salaryComprehensive benefits packageGenerous paid time offOpportunities for growth and development in a world-class aviation environmentWhat You Will DoPerform non-destructive testing (NDT) to determine product acceptability in accordance with approved procedures and certification levelRecord, evaluate, and document inspection results accuratelyEnsure strict adherence to radiation safety standards and protect self and others during testingMaintain and calibrate NDT equipment and manage inventory of tools and materialsConduct automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite partsSupport workflow coordination to meet priorities, efficiency, and cost objectivesProvide technical support and guidance to other technicians as neededPerform inspection equipment process control and safety checks, including radiation monitoring activitiesCollaborate within a team environment to ensure quality, safety, and performance standards are metPerform other duties as assignedMust be able to work any shiftWhat You Will BringHigh School Diploma or GED required2 years of NDT-related experience requiredCertified in at least one NAS 410 NDT method; ability to certify in a second method within 1 year requiredMust be NAS 410 Level II certifiable in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Eddy Current (ET)Preferred certifications:Ultrasonic (UT) C-Scan / TTUEddy Current (ET)Computed Radiography (RT)Experience with Through Transmission and Immersion techniques preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Familiarity with Solumina and CATIA V5/6 preferredAbility to read blueprints and interpret technical dataBasic shop math and measurement skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to lift and transport up to 40 poundsDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and housekeeping standardsMust provide formal NDT training recordsJob DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) and determines product acceptability to the authorized limits of the NDT level obtained in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures.Records, organizes and evaluates test results and enter results into applicable documents.Ensure compliance to all radiation safety rules and regulations and provides protection to self and others during testing.Maintains equipment and assures calibration for tests to be performed.Maintains inventory control of area equipment.Additional Functions:Works with and assists other NDT Technicians as required.Coordinates NDT inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency and cost effectiveness.Provides technical assistance to subordinate level NDT technicians.Performs process control on area inspection equipment.Performs exposure room interlock safety checks, establishes radiation safety barriers, zeros pocket dosimeters, operates radiation survey meters and completes applicable survey logs and forms.Performs automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts.Must be available to work any shift.Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:Must provide formal NDT training records.NDT experience on determining product acceptability preferred.Experience in blueprint reading and interpretation.Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math.Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.Must have essential personal and communication skills.Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices.Proficiency in current computer-based software.Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
