Job Summary

nGeisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team as the Associate Program Director for our Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program located at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

nJob Duties

nThis role combines clinical excellence with a passion for education, providing an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of cardiovascular care.

nnnClinical Duties:

n

nnPerform and interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms (EKGs).

n

nnDevelop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.

n

nnProvide lifestyle recommendations and prescribe medications to manage heart conditions.

n

nnCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

n

nnEducational Duties:

n

nnAssist in the administration and leadership of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program.

n

nnMentor and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students.

n

nnDevelop and deliver educational content, including lectures, workshops, and seminars.

n

nnParticipate in curriculum development and program evaluation to ensure high-quality training.

nnnAdministrative Duties:

n

nnSupport the Program Director in maintaining accreditation standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.

n

nnParticipate in recruitment and selection of fellowship candidates.

n

nnEngage in scholarly activities, including research and quality improvement projects.

n

n nQualifications:

nnnMD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

n

nnBoard certification in cardiovascular disease.

n

nnValid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.

n

nnProven experience in non-invasive cardiology.

n

nnDemonstrated interest and experience in medical education.

n

nnStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

n

n nPreferred Qualifications:

nnnPrevious experience in a fellowship training program.

n

nnAcademic achievements and contributions to research in cardiology.

n
