Job description
We are working with the Executive Team of a Non-profit in the Higher Education space, based in Bergen County, NJ. They are looking to bring on a dynamic AVP of Finance to join their team and function as the right-hand to the CFO. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounting, FP&A, and financial reporting
Lead annual budgeting process including development, planning, and consolidation.
Oversaw the month, quarter, and year-end closing processes
Maintain a strong internal control environment and serve as liaison to external auditors
Lead, supervise, and mentor accounting staff including Controller
Manage treasury including cash forecasting and liquidity
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA
8+ years of Accounting & Finance experience in the not-for-profit space
Controller within a non-profit OR public accounting experience with Higher Education clients
COMPENSATION:
$155,000 - $175,000
BENEFITS:
