Center AssociateWe are looking for individuals looking for a permanent position, willing to start at the ground level and move up. The UPS Store franchises endeavor to be the best in every aspect of business by championing a culture of trust, teamwork, accountability, high expectations, and open communication.The ideal Center Associate candidate will have retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, a professional appearance, and will be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.Applicant will be required to pass a Department of Justice background check to qualify for Notary Public.Our store provides a great friendly and flexible work environment.The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiriesContinuously practice good listening skills with customers and UPS Store team members, and leadershipTake ownership of the customer's shipping problem and offer viable solutionsTake action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions and industry trendsOperate all office equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and be willing to teach othersDistributes and handles incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, packagesHandle shipping needs for customers with a smile! Includes packing and shippingAttention to detailThe ability to process transactions quickly and accuratelyMaintain a clean and safe working environmentRequirements:High school diplomaStrong computer skillsStrong verbal/written skills, to includes spelling and mathNotary publicPrompt, reliable, and responsibleWilling/able to work a flexible schedule which could include weekendsAbility to lift and move 40+ poundsMust be able to stand on your feet for an extended period of timeThis is a long term job opportunity and we are looking for candidates with common sense, a strong work ethic and an interest in helping us grow our business.
