Job description
Waste Connections, Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivatedDiesel Mechanicto join our high-performing team inAltamonte Springs, FL. If you have experience in theWaste or Recycling industry, that's a huge plus-but not required. We offercompetitive pay,great benefits, and a$5,000 Stay-On Bonus to show our commitment to your success.
Location: Altamonte Springs, FL (Orlando)
Pay: $25-$35/hr. (Based on Experience + Overtime)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Occasional Saturdays | 2PM to close (50-60 Hours/Week)

The Job:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.
Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.
Requirements:
2+ Years of hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience(Waste Industry preferred)
Strong knowledge ofDPF Regeneration Systems(especially CUMMINS and MACK)
Welding/Fabrication skills are a big plus!
Must have your own tools.
Comfortable working 2nd shift (2PM - 2AM)
Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation
Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage
