At the Charles Lea Center in Clayton/Smithfield, NC, we're looking for compassionate, energetic individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)—where every day is an opportunity to support people with disabilities in living full, independent lives.About the Role:As a DSP, you'll work in a residential setting, in the client's home, supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities may include:Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.Promoting independence and dignity in every interactionDocument daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.Communicate important information to supervisors and team members.Follow safety, infection control, and agency policies.Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions.What You'll Need:Minimum age: 18High school diploma or equivalent2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver)Valid driver's license and Social Security numberBasic computer and documentation skillsAbility to pass required background and reference checksOutstanding Benefits:Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off (PTO)Sick Time PTOTuition reimbursementAnd more!Work Location Flexibility: While this position is assigned to client homes living in our Clayton/Smithfield, NC locations, all Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.Physical Requirements: This role involves regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on support.
