Job description
Ag Processing Inc (AGP) currently has an opening for a self-motivated full-time Maintenance Tech to join our team in Emmetsburg, IA! This person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment after completing diagnosis and troubleshooting various issues.
Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of the problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder’s torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
Maintain plant sanitation standards.
2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent.
~ Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications.
~ Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader.
~ Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
~ At least 18 years old
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to safely operate equipment
This is a hands-on industrial position. Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Working around grain dust and industrial equipment
Monday– Friday 7:00a – 3:30pm; 401(k) retirement plan (Roth and Traditional options) with a company match
