Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Job Details
Job Title: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Family Medicine
Location: Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: September 1, 2025
End Date: November 29, 2025
Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Salary: $4110 - $4870 per week
Employment Type: Travel Nurse Practitioner (Locum Tenens)
Healthcare Setting: On-site, Family Medicine clinic
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license (any state license accepted)
At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in Family Medicine or primary care
Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Current BLS certification required
Key Responsibilities for Family Medicine Nurse Practitioners
Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in a family medicine setting
Perform patient assessments, physical exams, and develop individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
Prescribe medications and manage both chronic and acute medical conditions
Educate patients and families on preventive care, wellness, and disease management
Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
