Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care Opportunity near SAINT PAUL, IN Full-Time Position in Inpatient Palliative Care Join a highly skilled healthcare team as an Inpatient Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner near SAINT PAUL, IN. This full-time opportunity focuses on providing compassionate care to individuals facing serious illnesses. The role emphasizes a person-family-centered approach, addressing physical, functional, psychological, and spiritual needs.

Position Details:

Position Type: Full-time, recruiting for an Inpatient Palliative Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP).

Scope of Care: Provide holistic care, addressing the physical, functional, psychological, and spiritual needs of individuals with serious illnesses.

Patient-Focused Approach: Utilize a person-family-centered approach to care, focusing on symptom relief and alleviating the stress and burden associated with a disease process.

Responsibilities:

Perform thorough history and physical examinations on patients.

Timely dictation of appropriate hospital reports.

Establish presumptive diagnoses, order necessary laboratory studies, and manage patient problems under physician supervision.

Initiate and coordinate laboratory, radiological, and special examinations or tests required for evaluation.

Provide counseling and instruction on patient problems, with referrals to other services as needed.

Offer follow-up care in accordance with the physician's plan of care.

Coordinate care with discharge planners for transitions to Nursing Homes, etc.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Prior experience with end-of-life and chronic illness is preferred.

Demonstrated compassion for patients facing serious illnesses.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.

Licensure: Possess an Indiana Medical License.

Certifications: Maintain BLS/ACLS certifications.
