Job description
Position Overview: An acute care hospital near Albertville, MN is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience in Surgical Oncology for a locum tenens position. This opportunity is ideal for an NP with a background in general surgery or surgical oncology, who thrives in a clinical environment supporting surgical patients. The position is open for an immediate start and offers a 3-month initial contract, with the possibility of extension.

Start Date : November 18, 2024
Contract Duration : 3 months with potential to extend
Shifts :Monday-Friday, day shifts (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Weekday clinic hours; no weeknights
Weekend call rotation approximately twice per 3-month contract, including 4 hours of rounding on Saturdays and Sundays
Orientation : 4 non-billable hours
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a dedicated MD support staff in the Surgical Oncology department.
Participate in surgeries, with a preference for candidates experienced in post-op visits and breast procedures.
Float across different facilities as needed to provide comprehensive patient support.

Required Credentials :Current MN licensure; IMLC candidates may also be considered
Experience in Surgical Oncology preferred
Minimum of 1-year relevant experience
Special Requirements : This role involves emergency privileges and may necessitate traveling between locations.
