nPhysician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner CT Surgery - Wheat Ridge, CO

nAbout this role
nAs an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgery you'll work with 2 CT Surgeons, and 2 other APPs to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout your shift each day, you'll collaborate with Cardiologists in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
nClinical Practice Details
nnnYou would practice at our CT Surgery clinic and Intermountain Lutheran Hospital ( in Wheat Ridge, CO
n
nnRotating schedule with 3 total PAs, including 24-hour call coverage and weekend rounding
n
nnOccasional call and rounding at St. Joseph Hospital ( , a sister facility in Denver
n
nnFirst assist in cardiac/thoracic surgeries; minimal vascular case load including dialysis access
n
nnOn average, one case per day
n
nnMUST have proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
n
nnPlace foley catheters and invasive lines
n
nnTeam responsibilities include ICU/ telemetry rounding, discharges and first assist coverage for all cases
n
nnClinic coverage for post-op patients
n
n nWhat you'll bring
nWe hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require the following:
nnnGraduate from an accredited Physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
n
nnLicensed as PA or NP in the state of CO or able to obtain
n
nnDEA and full prescriptive authority in CO
n
nnMinimum of 2 years as a First Assist PA or NP in a CT Surgery setting (please, no new graduates)
n
nnMinimum of 1 year experience with proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting for bypass procedures
n
n nHow we'll support you
nCompensation:
nnnOur compensation consists of a base salary plus call pay (Q3 call). The salary is calculated on years of experience and can range from $140,000 - $193,000.
n
nnAdditionally, we are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus as well as relocation, if applicable (up to $7500 ).
n
nnYou would also receive up to $4,000 annually to take CME plus an additional 5 days of time over PTO.
