Job description
Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to work locum shifts in Flagstaff, Arizona (AZ) starting 08/10/2026. The role offers on-going coverage and a competitive market rate.
The Cardiothoracic Surgery role:
Location: Flagstaff, Arizona (AZ)
Start date: 08/10/2026- Ongoing
Schedule: Mix of 8-hour day shifts (7a-3p) and call
• Night beeper call (3p-7a) on select weekdays
• 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a) on Sept 5-7
• Approx. 4 days/month plus call coverage
Coverage Dates:
Orientation - Oct 24 7a-3pm 8 hour day
Oct 25 7am-7am 24 hour call
Oct 26 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Oct 27 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Oct 28 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Oct 29 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Special Procedures: EVH, temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
• 200 bed hospital
• Adult/geriatric patient population
• 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients daily + 1-2 surgeries
• Surgeon support on service
EMR: Cerner
Requirements:
Arizona license, active and unrestricted
NCCPA (PA) or NP certification (ANCC/AANP)
DEA, ACLS, BLS,
3+ years CT surgery experience including EVH
