Job description
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Needed near Berwick, IL (j- ) Are you a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute your expertise in a dynamic Level II NICU setting near Berwick, IL?
We are actively searching for a qualified NNP to join our team and provide comprehensive care to critically ill newborns within our nursery and delivery room. This temporary, locum tenens position offers the chance to utilize your skills in a fast-paced environment, working alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals.

Key Qualifications:
Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois (active license required)
Board-certified in neonatal care (NRP certification required)
Experience working in a Level II NICU and delivery room setting
Proficient in performing essential neonatal procedures, including central & arterial line placements, intubation, umbilical line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, needle aspirations, surfactant administration, therapeutic hypothermia, and respiratory support (ventilation and continuous positive airway pressure - CPAP).
Experience attending C-sections and managing both well-baby and critically ill newborns
Schedule and Patient Load:
Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts (on-call during scheduled shift)
NICU Level: Level II with well-trained OB nurses for delivery room support

This is a temporary, locum tenens position with immediate start date availability.
