NPI Engineer | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.

Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.

Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and BOMs.

Identify and implement solutions for manufacturing challenges during NPI phases.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related issues.

Support pilot builds and first article inspections for new products.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

3+ years of experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) or manufacturing engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Proficient in CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) for PCB design and schematic capture.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including PCBA assembly, test, and validation.

Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C#) for automation and data analysis.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root cause analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing quality.

Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.

Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis and automation.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and equipment.
