NPI Engineer | Mattawan, MI
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Mattawan region seeking NPI Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the transfer of new products from R&D to manufacturing.
Define and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introductions.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and testability.
Develop and implement production control plans and quality assurance procedures.
Manage and mitigate risks associated with new product launches.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for NPI processes and tools.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with electronics assembly.
Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD) for PCB design and layout.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and quality control methodologies.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation and data analysis.
Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems for managing product data and BOMs.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with optical inspection systems.
Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
Proficiency in Python scripting for data analysis or test automation.
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or lead small project teams.
