Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesThis role supports the production and manufacturing engineering team by fixing equipment issues. It also develops new ideas and solutions and drives safety improvements daily.Assist with layout planning, installation, and testing of automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.Execute core testing, aid in developing functional testing processes and assist in developing work instructions.Ensure a seamless transition for new products into standard production by providing support and training.Work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced, high output environment on a variety of short-term projects.Support and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.Document the processes used in building products.Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings/specs.Provide documentation for estimating the cost of materials and labor of manufactured product.Support daily production through solving, testing, and validation of product.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to network across multiple functions.Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision.Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), SolidWorks, etc. - intermediate level.Ability to process engineering change orders (ECO's) as they relate to bills of material and product routings.Ability to document processes in work instructions format.Knowledge on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to provide input for new and existing products.Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.Knowledge of product costing labor and material.Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training).2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.We HaveA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
