Scope of work
The NMT performs both imaging and non-imaging procedures on patients and/or patient samples using radioactive tracers. The NMT is responsible for the safe and correct handling of radioactive materials, the care and operation of radiation detection equipment, knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, the appropriate computer analysis to generate a patient result, and patient care. A NMT uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual psychosocial and developmental attributes in assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Qualifications
Required associate’s degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program
CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Required 6 months from date of hire
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
