This opportunity offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work with an experienced, collaborative imaging team while making a difference in the lives of patients and families. This is a PRN varied shifts opportunity.A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease. Experience with geriatric and cardiac patients preferred.Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:Performs high quality diagnostic proceduresKnowledge of (and adherence to) State of Florida rules and regulations in regard to Radiation Control/Radioactive MaterialsProtects patients, self, others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposureIs compliant with mandatory education and health requirementsIdentifies, Prepares, administers, and documents medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policyExperience Requirements:Radioactive Material Experience PreferredExperience working in a hospital setting PreferredCustomer Service Experience PreferredKnowledge of Federal and State Regulations PreferredEducation & Credential Requirements:Vocational SchoolCertified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB Required OrRegistered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine – ARRT OrBasic Life Support (BLS) RequiredIf you are interested in this PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist position at Baptist South, please apply today or contact Location:South - Main Building
