nWhat you'll do
nThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various resident care activities and services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of residents. Nurse aides provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures.
nnnObserves and reports resident’s status changes and needs.
n
nnAnswers call lights and alarms and attends to/reports resident’s needs
n
nnObtains weights, vital signs and reports results.
n
nnPrioritizes and organizes work within specified time frames.
n
nnCompletes Intake/Output monitoring as appropriate.
n
nnObtains specimens and prepares them to be transported to the lab as needed.
n
nnProvides/assists residents with ADL’s, including bathing, skin care, toileting, grooming, and dressing while encouraging the resident to participate at highest practicable level, and documents care provided accurately and timely.
n
nnAssists/ feeds residents with meals and supplements.
n
nnAssists clients with elimination needs, and/or provides incontinent care with each occurrence.
n
nnTransfers, moves and repositions clients every 2-3 hours and prn.
n
nnMaintains CNA II Requirement (if appropriate).
n
nnAssists residents to move to activities area or dining room area, etc.
n
nnKeeps unit neat, relaxed and homelike.
n
nnAssists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
n
nnAssists/provides residents with PROM and AROM, and ambulation goals as appropriate.
n
nnProvides treatments as ordered on assigned residents.
n
nnOperates all equipment and performs all procedures/care in a safe manner.
n
nnDemonstrates proper body mechanics in all functions.
n
nnCleans and stocks supplies, and equipment as directed.
n
nnReceives and directs phone calls promptly and accurately following Hospital etiquette guidelines.
n
nnDemonstrates ability to accept constructive criticism and uses it to improve work performance.
n
nnDemonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to provide non–direct patient care/support services to staff under the direction of licensed personnel.
n
nnMaintains NYS CNA requirements.
n
nnPromotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
n
nnAssumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
n
nnCompletes work assignments on time/readily accepts assignments as observed by Director.
n
n nWhat we need from you
nEducation:
nnHigh School Graduate or GED, preferred
n nExperience:
nnMinimum one-year long-term care experience, preferred
n nLicenses/Certifications:
nnNYS Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, required

nPay Range
nSalary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
nPay Range Minimum:
nUSD $16.00/Hr.
nPay Range Maximum:
nUSD $16.00/Hr.
