Critical Care Step Down Nurse AssistantCorewell Health is offering up to $1,500 for Full Time and $750 for Part Time as a sign on bonus for this opportunity!Unit Description:A 39 bed unit; Critical Care Step Down is committed to providing high quality patient and family centered care for patient populations consisting of various medical conditions including pulmonary, cardiac and neurological disorders, post-operative care for the surgical patient who requires a higher level of nursing care. CCSU also cares for ventilated tracheostomy patients.All unit staff attends both hospital and nursing orientation and receives unit-specific orientation. Unit and core competencies are completed during the orientation process. Our team consists of RNs and NAs, teamwork is critical for building a cohesive nursing unit.About Grosse Pointe HospitalRecognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals in the nation. It is also home to the Cotton Family Birth Center which has received the Baby Friendly designation by Baby-Friendly USA.Scope of workProvides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
