Position Summary

Provides and documents care to patients under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse and other Staff Nurses. Includes safe, comfortable and confidential environment. Participates as a team member to insure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, values and quality commitment to Houston Healthcare.

Responsibilities

Provides and documents care to patients under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse and other Staff Nurses; ensures a safe, comfortable and confidential environment; participates as a team member to insure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers; responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, values and quality commitment to Houston Healthcare.

Qualifications

Education & Training: High School diploma or GED required. Must be currently enrolled in their last year of an accredited registered nursing program OR graduate of accredited registered nursing program and not taken boards. Must have passed boards within 6 months of graduation. Shows proof of 2.5 GPA and must remain in good standing with the nursing school.

Experience: None

Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to utilize standard office equipment; diagnostic equipment; patient care equipment; and personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc.
